Overview
Join Nottinghamshire County Council as a Wake Night Worker at Oakhurst Children's Home, Mansfield. This permanent position involves delivering essential overnight care to children and young people in a warm, nurturing residential environment. The role is based onsite with a weekly schedule of 37 hours, including weekend shifts. The salary offered ranges from A326,824 to A329,540 annually.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver quality care and support throughout the night, helping children prepare for the following day.
- Maintain the safety and well-being of all residents in the home.
- Address the individual needs of children, including managing complex or challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with the residential team to foster a secure and supportive setting.
- Keep detailed records and documentation as necessary.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of six months experience in a childcare environment.
- Possession or willingness to pursue an NVQ Level 3 or Diploma in Residential Childcare.
- Solid understanding of child development and capability to support children with diverse needs.
- Demonstrate resilience, empathy, and commitment to supporting young people.
- Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new skills and approaches.
