Overview

Join Nottinghamshire County Council as a Wake Night Worker at Oakhurst Children's Home, Mansfield. This permanent position involves delivering essential overnight care to children and young people in a warm, nurturing residential environment. The role is based onsite with a weekly schedule of 37 hours, including weekend shifts. The salary offered ranges from A326,824 to A329,540 annually.

Role Responsibilities

Deliver quality care and support throughout the night, helping children prepare for the following day.
Maintain the safety and well-being of all residents in the home.
Address the individual needs of children, including managing complex or challenging behaviors.
Collaborate with the residential team to foster a secure and supportive setting.
Keep detailed records and documentation as necessary.
Engage in ongoing professional development and training.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum of six months experience in a childcare environment.
Possession or willingness to pursue an NVQ Level 3 or Diploma in Residential Childcare.
Solid understanding of child development and capability to support children with diverse needs.
Demonstrate resilience, empathy, and commitment to supporting young people.
Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
Adaptability and eagerness to learn new skills and approaches.
