Role Overview
The Employee Experience Manager is tasked with fostering a unified, inclusive, and positive employee journey across all stages of employment. Emphasis is placed on enhancing employee engagement, well-being, workplace relations, and the daily experiences of frontline staff. This role converts employee feedback alongside company priorities into actionable initiatives to build trust, a sense of belonging, bolster performance, and improve retention.
Additionally, the role oversees frontline accommodation management, ensuring that company-provided housing meets safety, compliance, maintenance, and welfare service standards. This position collaborates closely with HR, Operations, Health & Safety, Facilities, Procurement, Finance, and external vendors to ensure efficient occupancy planning, swift resolution of issues, cost oversight, and ongoing enhancements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and carry out an employee experience strategy aligned with organizational values, people goals, and business aims.
- Continuously map and refine key employee experiences such as onboarding, integration, development, recognition, internal mobility, and exit processes.
- Work alongside HR and business leaders to embed consistent employee experience standards across various locations and employee segments.
- Identify gaps in employee experience and translate insights into practical, measurable improvement plans.
- Create and implement engagement, recognition, team-building, and corporate social responsibility programs aimed at enhancing motivation, belonging, and teamwork.
- Manage channels for employee feedback including surveys, pulse checks, focus groups, and forums, ensuring prompt action on feedback received.
- Establish inclusive communication mediums that keep employees well-informed and encourage active employee participation.
- Monitor participation and the impact of engagement initiatives, especially targeting frontline personnel.
- Lead physical, psychological, social, and financial well-being programs suited to both office and frontline employees.
- Promote psychological safety, inclusion, dignity, and respectful conduct through training and guidance for managers.
- Coordinate wellness support, campaigns, and employee assistance programs with internal and external partners.
- Track well-being trends and recommend preventative or corrective measures when concerns arise.
- Act as a trusted contact for employee issues, handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations in alignment with company policies and UAE laws.
- Mediate disputes, support resolution, and coach managers on performance and conduct matters.
- Maintain confidential records of cases, identify recurring issues, and advise on systemic improvements.
- Oversee comprehensive management of frontline accommodation including safety, hygiene, security, and compliance with relevant standards and laws.
- Manage occupancy planning, room allocations, transfers, check-in/out procedures, and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct routine accommodation inspections with various stakeholders, document findings, assign corrective actions, and ensure resolution.
- Ensure accommodation adherence to UAE regulations, civil defense, health and safety standards, company policies, and emergency preparedness.
- Supervise accommodation teams and vendors, establish service expectations, monitor performance, and address deficiencies promptly.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, security, and cleaning, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Handle resident concerns and incidents sensitively, escalating serious matters as necessary.
- Support budget management, purchase planning, utility and cost monitoring, invoice validation, and cost efficiency initiatives while maintaining welfare standards.
- Maintain comprehensive accommodation records, inspection reports, incident logs, vendor documentation, and dashboards.
- Promote awareness among residents about accommodation rules, safety, hygiene, respectful behavior, and shared responsibilities via induction and ongoing communication.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for employee experience and accommodation, including engagement, case resolution, welfare, occupancy, compliance, service standards, and satisfaction.
- Generate regular management reports highlighting trends, risks, recommended improvements, costs, and outcomes.
- Benchmark best practices and introduce suitable process improvements, digital tools, and efficiencies.
- Manage assigned budgets and external partnerships in compliance with procurement, governance, and cost-control protocols.
- Perform additional duties as directed by management consistent with the role’s purpose and level.

Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Facilities Management, or related disciplines; master's degree is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of employee relations, grievance and disciplinary processes, employee engagement, and well-being frameworks.
- Knowledge of UAE labor laws and regulations pertaining to employment and frontline accommodation welfare, health & safety standards.
- Proven expertise in managing accommodation or multi-site service operations including inspections, occupancy planning, maintenance, vendor management, and incident handling.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, analytical and reporting skills, with capacity to engage diverse employee populations.
- High levels of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive or confidential employee welfare matters.
- Professional certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, PHR, SPHR, or relevant facilities, HSE, or welfare qualifications are desirable.
- A minimum of 7 years progressive experience in employee experience, relations, HR operations, or welfare-related roles, with no less than 3 years in managerial or supervisory positions. Prior experience overseeing company-provided frontline accommodation and welfare services within sectors like construction, engineering, or contracting in the UAE is highly preferred.
