Position Overview
Hynds Pipe Systems Limited is seeking a seasoned and performance-focused Branch Manager to lead its Cambridge branch in Waikato, New Zealand. This pivotal leadership role involves hands-on management focused on fostering robust customer relationships, enhancing sales outcomes, and nurturing a high-achieving team within a strong safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the overall performance of the Cambridge branch by setting strategic goals and overseeing profit and loss management aligned with company objectives.
- Expand the customer base by evaluating market potential, implementing a structured call cycle, and identifying new sales avenues to maximize revenues.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor branch staff, leading by example to maintain high performance standards.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline data through diligent CRM management and branch reporting.
- Develop thorough product knowledge to effectively support customers and address their queries.
- Ensure the branch meets established service, presentation, and procedural standards.
- Lead health and safety initiatives, mitigate hazards proactively, and cultivate a strong safety culture at the branch.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience in customer service environments with proven success in coaching teams to excel.
- A results-driven approach with accountability for business outcomes and the ability to effect change.
- Sound judgment and confidence in decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional customer service aptitude with enthusiasm for relationship building.
- Strong commercial understanding of business performance drivers.
- Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and ERP systems, with M3 ERP experience preferred.
- Holder of a full Class 1 driver’s licence with F endorsement.
- Physically capable of handling products weighing up to 20 kilograms.
- Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
