Job Description

The Janitor will be responsible for thorough cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within a building or across multiple client locations. The duties are varied and require adaptability to meet client-specific requirements effectively.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Work hours are Monday through Sunday from 6 AM to 11 AM. The pay rate is $12 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean all types of floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Adhere to safety protocols when using chemical cleaners and cleaning equipment to avoid damage to surfaces or property.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance halls.
• Empty waste containers and handle trash appropriately, including the use of compactors where necessary.
• Wash windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable products and tools.
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing when required.
• Restock paper and sanitary supplies.
• Follow a structured housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally operate heavy-duty cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and polishers.
• Perform additional duties related to cleaning as assigned based on customer needs.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six months experience in janitorial work.
• Willingness to learn on the job through provided training.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions precisely.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods and custodial standards.
• Familiarity with floor care practices including waxing and buffing.
• Experience with industrial cleaning or facility maintenance.
