Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated proficiency in Java programming, debugging, SQL querying, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience providing production support at Level 2 or Level 3.
- Capable of managing critical banking applications and responding effectively to priority one incidents.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot framework, Microservices architecture, and Hibernate ORM.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries with emphasis on optimization and performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of Kafka messaging system including transactions.
- Experience with exception management and securing APIs through authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Platforms and Tools
- Experience using monitoring and log analysis tools such as Splunk and Kibana.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools including Jenkins and container orchestration platforms like OpenShift or Kubernetes at a basic to intermediate level.
- Knowledge of MariaDB or other relational database management systems.
Functional Expertise
- Background in Core Banking systems and their operations.
- Understanding of transaction processing workflows and the criticality of applications.
- Basic knowledge of interest computation methodologies for Savings and Current accounts.
Additional Skills
- Insight into ACID properties related to database transactions.
- Appreciation of scalability concepts including vertical and horizontal scaling.
- Competency in designing, analyzing, and debugging distributed systems.
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
