Junior Electrical Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a driven Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Silent Aire in Dublin. This role provides a fantastic chance for recent graduates or early-career engineers to develop practical skills and collaborate with seasoned professionals on various engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and testing process of electrical systems and components.
• Create electrical schematics, drawings, and maintain technical documentation.
• Assist in project execution through calculations, simulations, and analysis.
• Engage in site inspections, visits, and commissioning tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults; contribute to maintenance operations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, civil, and software engineering disciplines.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable standards, codes, and safety guidelines.
• Help prepare various reports, specifications, and project records.
• Participate in efforts to improve engineering processes continuously.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Right to work in Ireland (valid work permit) is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
• Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, Dialux, EPLAN, ETAP, or comparable tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, control panels, and instrumentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and enhance technical expertise.
• Meticulous attention to detail and effective time management.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work under guidance to meet deadlines.

Preferred but Not Mandatory

• Previous internship or industrial placement in an engineering setting.
• Familiarity with standards such as IEC, NEC, and BS.
