Material Planner

Role Overview

The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring that material supplies align with production schedules and maintain minimum stock levels to support seamless operations and efficient inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage material supplies in accordance with production timelines and generate Purchase Requests based on demand forecasts.
• Analyze supply trends to sustain optimal inventory levels and perform regular accuracy checks on stock.
• Identify potential issues in material flow, predict supply chain bottlenecks, and modify schedules to mitigate disruptions.
• Utilize SAP systems to handle demand management, create process workflows, and produce performance reports.
• Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders on updates related to materials, engineering changes, and scheduling timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or Engineering discipline.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning and managing schedules for multiple projects; regional or industry experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP or ERP systems, Material Resource Planning (MRP), and resource management techniques is essential.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities, high organizational skills, effective planning, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
