About the Role
Located in Esperance, Western Australia, this full-time and permanent position as a Customer Services Officer offers the opportunity to be a key part of the energy sector's future in WA. Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding frontline customer service through direct, phone, and email communications, addressing inquiries about billing, metering, outages, solar energy, connections, and account management.
- Manage service orders, fault reports, and compliance activities, collaborating closely with metering teams and depot crews to support safe and effective operations.
- Assist in communicating with customers during both planned and unplanned outages, working with internal teams to ensure information is timely and accurate.
- Engage actively in community outreach and events, assisting in setup, participation, and pack-up, including occasional after-hours and regional travel support.
- Handle various administrative and financial duties such as supplier setup, purchase order issuance, invoice processing, and sustaining strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in customer service, advisory, or corporate support roles, preferably in utilities, government, or regulated sectors.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, adhere to defined procedures, and make well-informed decisions in dynamic scenarios.
- Proficiency with systems, documentation, and financial transactions including purchase orders, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Strong communication skills with the sensitivity to support vulnerable and hardship-affected customers.
- Proactive and adaptable mindset, willing to support after-hours events, undertake regional travel, and contribute hands-on to operational tasks.
