Job Role Overview

As a Porter, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by warmly welcoming visitors and providing assistance with their luggage and requests in a professional manner. You will serve as the identifiable point of contact for guests in the lobby and offer helpful information regarding directions, local amenities, and transportation options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and visitors warmly, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the hotel lobby to assist guests efficiently.
  • Assist with transferring, storing, and handling guests’ luggage and belongings.
  • Park and retrieve guests’ vehicles as needed.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Provide directions, local area information, and transportation assistance.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Fluent spoken English skills.
  • Possession of a New Zealand driver’s license (restricted or full).
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles is advantageous.
  • Availability to work on a rotating roster that covers all seven days, including weekends, public holidays, and morning and night shifts.
