Python Developer

Role Overview

This opening is for a Python Developer to contribute to the build and ongoing support of banking software in Changi, Singapore. The position suits candidates with solid Python development experience; familiarity with Django is helpful but not compulsory.

• Applicants with strong Python development backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in backend or application development is preferred.
• Exposure to banking projects is an advantage.
• Profiles focused mainly on data analysis, data science, BI, or reporting will not be shortlisted.
• Excellent coding ability and problem-solving skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, enhance, and support applications built with Python and Django.
• Design and implement secure REST APIs and backend services.
• Work with MySQL and MariaDB databases.
• Develop interface elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Take part in Agile delivery cycles, testing, releases, and production support activities.
• Assist with CI/CD processes, release coordination, and application improvements.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on Python programming experience.
• Working knowledge of frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar tools.
• Understanding of REST API development.
• Experience with MySQL or MariaDB.
• Comfort with Linux and Git workflows.
• Ability to build basic front-end components with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
• Experience with React, Angular, Java, or cloud platforms.
• Background in banking or financial services.
