Role Overview

This opening is for a Python Developer to contribute to the build and ongoing support of banking software in Changi, Singapore. The position suits candidates with solid Python development experience; familiarity with Django is helpful but not compulsory.

Only Singapore citizens are eligible for this opportunity.
Interviews will be conducted in person only.
Applicants with strong Python development backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Experience in backend or application development is preferred.
Exposure to banking projects is an advantage.
Profiles focused mainly on data analysis, data science, BI, or reporting will not be shortlisted.
Excellent coding ability and problem-solving skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

Create, enhance, and support applications built with Python and Django.
Design and implement secure REST APIs and backend services.
Work with MySQL and MariaDB databases.
Develop interface elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Take part in Agile delivery cycles, testing, releases, and production support activities.
Assist with CI/CD processes, release coordination, and application improvements.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on Python programming experience.
Working knowledge of frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar tools.
Understanding of REST API development.
Experience with MySQL or MariaDB.
Comfort with Linux and Git workflows.
Ability to build basic front-end components with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
Experience with React, Angular, Java, or cloud platforms.
Background in banking or financial services.
