Role Overview

The Shift Engineer will support day-to-day plant and equipment upkeep for a commercial property environment, with responsibility for preventive maintenance planning, coordination with vendors, record keeping, inspections, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance for critical systems such as HVAC, chillers, sewage treatment plants, UPS, DG sets, water treatment systems, transformers, LT panels, and fire safety equipment according to the 52-week schedule.
• Keep complete and accurate logs for all plant and equipment, including repair history and service documentation for the property.
• Work with vendors to resolve equipment breakdowns and restore operations promptly.
• Monitor store inventory to ensure materials, equipment, and tools are sufficiently stocked and stored in a tidy, secure, and safe manner.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections as laid out in the internal preventive maintenance calendar.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers regarding annual maintenance contracts and follow up on any unresolved concerns.
• Make sure maintenance staff maintain proper uniforms, name tags, grooming, and hygiene standards.
