Job Overview
Aramark Canada is seeking a motivated General Utility Worker / Dishwasher to join their team in Kingston, Ontario. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the sanitation and cleanliness of dishes, kitchen utensils, and work environments, helping to maintain a safe and efficient operation. This position offers a solid foundation to launch your career within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by washing and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep the dishwashing station, including the three-compartment sink, and its surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Monitor cleanliness and functionality of equipment, promptly reporting any issues to management.
- Assist with light maintenance and custodial duties as required.
- Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards guests, coworkers, and clients.
- Follow Aramark's safety protocols, particularly regarding food safety and sanitation.
- Ensure the protection and security of company property.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Basic knowledge and understanding of sanitation procedures.
- Ability to adhere to safety guidelines, particularly when handling hazardous chemicals.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- May be required to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).
