Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper to review vacant rooms and expected checkouts or discharges so daily assignments can be organized.
  • Support room attendants by helping clean guest rooms when needed.
  • Track cleaning materials and linen inventory to make sure supplies are sufficient, and issue equipment and supplies to team members while keeping budget control in mind.
  • Keep storage areas clean and make sure housekeeping carts are stocked properly.
  • Look into concerns related to housekeeping service or equipment and share findings with the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Join required housekeeping team meetings and occasionally lead them.
  • Maintain a courteous, professional attitude with coworkers at all times.
  • Help prepare for brand audits and follow through on corrective improvements.
  • Be available to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Update room occupancy records.
  • Handle guest complaints about housekeeping service or equipment in a timely manner.
  • Inspect rooms, halls, and lobbies for carpet, drape, and furniture stains, damage, or wear.
  • Document inspection findings and inform cleaning staff about any problems that need attention.
  • Work with other hotel departments when issues require their support.
  • Welcome guests in a friendly and warm way.
  • Carry out other assigned duties as needed.

Experience and Education

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
