Logistics Technician

Overview

Join Microsoft as a Circular Center Inventory & Asset Technician, where you will be responsible for securely destroying data bearing devices and salvaging components from decommissioned equipment following established procedures. Your duties will also include conducting cycle audits, handling inbound and outbound deliveries, coordinating security escorts for external vendors, and managing warranty claims and returns on faulty hardware. As part of Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation team, you will support the infrastructure powering services such as Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure. Our global network consists of over 200 data centers across 32 countries, serving more than a billion customers worldwide. Responsibilities

• Carry out designated tasks and raise concerns during periods of high workload or escalation under supervision.
• Work with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and handle return merchandise authorizations (RMAs), ensuring compliance with service level agreements for packaging, shipping, and receiving.
• Learn and apply stock control and inventory management methods.
• Maintain precise records of all incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
• Adhere to Microsoft supplier contract guidelines while maintaining strong customer service standards.
• Execute cycle audits and correct data discrepancies to uphold inventory accuracy.
• Safely destroy data bearing devices in accordance with policies and SLA requirements.
• Extract and test components from assets as instructed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma plus at least six months’ experience or internship in inventory, retail, warehouse management, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Eligibility to meet Microsoft and governmental background check standards, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years.
• This role requires Singapore citizenship, verifiable by a valid Singapore passport.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over one year of experience in warehouse or supply chain roles within IT or logistics sectors, including operation of heavy-load equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
