Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Officer to oversee inventory management, order processing, and cost calculations within our esteemed hospitality environment. This role demands meticulous record-keeping, inventory auditing, and vendor coordination to maintain seamless procurement operations at our property in West Bay, Doha.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate and monitor figures related to food inventories, orders, and expenses to maintain efficient stock levels.
  • Organize and maintain accurate records, ensuring proper filing and storage of reports and invoices.
  • Use computer systems to post invoices and manage inventory documentation.
  • Perform inventory audits to assess stock quantities and requirements, completing requisition forms as needed.
  • Communicate proactively with management regarding low inventory to prevent shortages.
  • Verify received goods, reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports, and maintain detailed logs.
  • Handle receiving, unloading, and processing of deliveries while rejecting items that are damaged or incorrect.
  • Manage vendor delivery issues and supervise return procedures effectively.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and handling protocols across all food-related processes.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate PAR levels for all food supplies.
  • Report any incidents, unsafe conditions, or injuries promptly and complete requisite safety training.
  • Comply fully with company policies related to conduct, appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection.
  • Communicate professionally and maintain positive workplace relationships to support team objectives.
  • Meet quality assurance standards through careful inspection of tools, equipment, and related materials.
