Role Overview
We seek an enthusiastic eCommerce Assistant to become part of our small, supportive team based in Sydney. This entry-level position is perfect for early career individuals or recent graduates who have gained practical experience through internships, university placements, or part-time roles and have an interest in the operational facets of ecommerce and fashion retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare product listings for our backend system, including uploading images, assigning ecommerce attributes, writing or editing product descriptions, categorizing, and setting shipping parameters.
- Coordinate product image resizing after sourcing images from brands.
- Manage order fulfillment processes and oversee packaging supply orders.
- Maintain daily operations of our Shopify storefront, managing merchandising collections, processing returns, and handling canceled orders.
- Provide customer support via email and chat channels.
- Assist with vendor onboarding by collecting product details and images from brands.
- Communicate with brands to obtain information on fabric types, certifications, supply chains, and sustainability credentials.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate demonstrates intelligence, curiosity, initiative, and a strong work ethic. We value a willingness to learn and growing skill sets in a hands-on environment. Prior experience through internships or part-time ecommerce or retail roles or relevant academic study is favorable but not mandatory.
Educational and Skill Requirements
- Must have an undergraduate degree.
- Experience with Shopify is advantageous but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Basic familiarity with Searchspring (Athos Commerce), Klaviyo, Adobe Photoshop or InDesign for simple edits, and CapCut is desirable.
