Role Overview

The Logistics Manager will spearhead the operational management and vendor relations of logistics networks within specific market clusters. This position involves leading a team of Logistics Specialists, overseeing third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and last-mile carriers, and collaborating closely with teams responsible for operational excellence and strategic logistics development. Reporting to the Head of European Logistics, you will drive daily logistics operations, enforce vendor agreements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational and tactical relationships with 3PLs and last-mile delivery partners, ensuring strict compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), established procedures, and cost targets.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues and facilitate Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs/QBRs) with external vendors.
  • Develop and maintain continuous improvement plans alongside 3PL partners aligned with both internal and external business objectives.
  • Enhance the post-purchase delivery experience by analyzing customer care metrics and implementing operational enhancements to boost retention.
  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor, audit, and control supply chain costs, maintaining operations within budgetary constraints.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Logistics Specialists, overseeing their daily tasks, performance, and skill development.
  • Produce timely and accurate operational performance reports for senior logistics leadership, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with Commercial, Planning, Finance, and global/regional leadership to influence logistics strategy and ensure alignment of objectives.
  • Oversee project implementations involving new logistics vendors, operational models, tools, and processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in e-commerce operations, supply chain management, or logistics, preferably within fast-moving consumer goods sectors such as food or perishables.
  • Successful track record managing 3PL and last-mile carrier relationships with accountability and strong vendor partnership skills.
  • Leadership experience directing operational or logistics teams, including coaching and performance management.
  • Exceptional communication abilities to coordinate between external partners, cross-functional internal teams, and senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical aptitude to investigate operational data, diagnose supply chain challenges, and implement immediate solutions.
  • Fluency in English and either German or Dutch is required.
  • Desired skills include experience managing logistics at a multi-market or European scale and familiarity with systems such as ERP, WMS, TMS, and OMS.

Company Values

  • Collaboration: Embracing a united approach to fight food waste as one team.
  • High Standards: Constantly pushing boundaries and uplifting each other.
  • Simplicity: Delivering bold ambitions through straightforward solutions.
  • Legacy: Creating lasting impact through our initiatives.
  • Care: Prioritizing ethical business practices and mutual support.

Benefits

  • Flexible work arrangements including hybrid options from office, home, or abroad.
  • Additional parental leave and extra days off beyond statutory requirements, plus the option for unpaid leave.
  • Health insurance and pension package subject to location of employment.
  • Extra days off for significant personal milestones or life events.
  • Regular company social events and access to free coffee, snacks, and well-equipped kitchens.
  • Monthly complimentary Surprise Bags to connect with the community.
  • Paid volunteer time and active participation in Employee Resource Groups supporting diversity and inclusion.
