Role Overview

The Logistics Manager oversees the operational execution, performance, and vendor management of our logistics network within specific markets. Leading a team of Logistics Specialists, you will manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and last-mile carriers, reporting to the Head of European Logistics. This role involves enforcing SLAs, optimizing customer experience, controlling costs, and collaborating cross-functionally to influence strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and enforce operational standards and SLAs with 3PLs and last-mile delivery partners.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for day-to-day operational challenges with external vendors.
  • Drive continual improvements with logistics partners aligning with both internal business needs and external service levels.
  • Enhance the customer post-purchase and delivery experience by analyzing relevant metrics and implementing operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor and control supply chain costs within budgetary guidelines.
  • Lead and develop a team of Logistics Specialists, ensuring team productivity, engagement, and alignment with operational goals.
  • Produce accurate and timely operational reports interpreting fulfillment data to inform leadership and mitigate risks.
  • Partner with global and regional leaders to shape logistics strategy and roadmap development.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Planning, and Finance departments to align operational objectives.
  • Manage projects including onboarding new vendors, implementing new processes, and integrating new logistics tools.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in e-commerce operations, supply chain, or logistics, especially in fast-paced B2C food, grocery, or perishable goods sectors.
  • Track record managing 3PLs and last-mile logistics with strong vendor accountability and SLA enforcement.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and coaching logistics or operational teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, adept at influencing internal and external partners including senior leadership.
  • Robust analytical capabilities for diagnosing supply chain issues and implementing immediate solutions.
  • Fluency in English and either Dutch or German languages.
