Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee site construction activities ensuring compliance with engineering standards, project requirements, and safety regulations. This role involves managing project execution, supervising teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring project quality and safety.

Core Responsibilities

  • Enforce Consultant's QA/QC procedures at the construction site.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions with final authority.
  • Conduct frequent site inspections alongside clients and contractors to monitor progress and address quality concerns.
  • Issue site instructions, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and certify progress milestones.
  • Lead weekly progress meetings and scrutinize weekly and monthly activity reports from contractors.

  • Implement and adhere to 9E QHSE policies and procedures in the workplace.
  • Comply with local regulations and client/contractor safety directives, including site inductions prior to mobilization.
  • Report QHSE incidents promptly to the relevant departments and authorities when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineering qualification is advantageous.
  • 15 to 20 years of pertinent construction and site supervision experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, and local regulations.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and project priorities effectively.
