Role Overview

As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of 3 Waters and infrastructure resilience projects, including treatment plants, pumping stations, and reservoirs. Your responsibilities encompass managing the entire project lifecycle from feasibility through delivery and handover, balancing high-level strategic leadership with hands-on operational involvement such as issuing change instructions, leading meetings, and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex infrastructure projects through all delivery phases.
  • Manage multi-stakeholder environments and technical design teams.
  • Oversee project consenting and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Maintain clear, professional reporting and contract management in line with NZS3910/NZS3916 standards as the Engineer’s Representative.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years post-graduate experience in civil engineering, project delivery, or construction management including project management from either client or consulting perspectives.
  • Relevant STEM qualification such as Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management.
  • Current driver’s license with willingness to travel locally and regionally to project sites.
  • Experience specifically in delivering 3 Waters civil infrastructure assets; additional building project experience is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge concepts and provide effective solutions.
