Role Overview
This position suits those beginning their journey in project management, offering direct involvement with real projects. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will closely support seasoned project managers and site supervisors from day one. Responsibilities include assisting with coordination on ongoing commercial projects, honing organizational capabilities, and cultivating the critical judgment needed for effective construction management. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and managing resources for commercial projects.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and contribute ideas that enhance team effectiveness.
- Serve as a liaison between project managers, site crews, clients, and subcontractors.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication among all project stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage progress reports, status updates, and project documentation.
- Support quality control by working alongside field teams to meet standards and client expectations.
- Oversee project documentation including contracts, submittals, and change orders to ensure compliance.
- Help ensure all work aligns with project specifications and quality benchmarks.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in commercial construction or project coordination; familiarity with specialty trades is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
