Job description
Role overview
This position is a one-year contract assignment with the Safety Management System team. The selected person will help build, maintain and improve safety documentation processes so that policies, procedures and records stay accurate, current and aligned with regulatory expectations.
Documentation management
- Draft, refresh and uphold the SMS manual together with related supporting records.
- Set up and maintain organised filing structures.
- Make sure documents follow internal standards and formatting requirements.
- Put in place version control and document-tracking methods.
Quality control
- Carry out routine reviews to confirm documents are complete and correct.
- Spot and fix missing information, inconsistencies or gaps in existing records.
- Keep documentation logs up to date.
Administrative support
- Support colleagues with document search, retrieval and filing.
- Help run training and awareness sessions on SMS documentation practices and usage.
- Assist in creating templates and standardised document formats.
- Prepare periodic status and progress reports.
Requirements
The role calls for someone trained in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Information Management, or a closely related discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in documentation handling, compliance, or quality systems. Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, is required. Experience using document management systems will be an added advantage.
Additional information
This appointment is initially for 1 year. The designation offered will depend on the candidate’s relevant work experience. Depending on business needs and performance, the role may later be extended through contract renewal or converted to a permanent tenure.
