Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to business process design workshops, representing business user perspectives and integrating best practices across multiple merchandising functions.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to support strategies and initiatives under Merchandising & Co-op Brands.
  • Promote adherence to industry best practices, internal company policies, and growth-oriented business strategies.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and documentation of both current and future Merchandising & Co-op Brands processes, capturing gaps, challenges, systems functionality, data flow, and architecture.
  • Prepare detailed requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, business processes, and RFPs relevant to merchandising projects.
  • Assist in designing or developing divisional tools, as well as managing systems utilized by Merchandising & Co-op Brands teams.
  • Provide support for small to medium-scale projects involving cross-divisional partners, working predominantly with Merchandising and Co-op Brands IT departments.
  • Participate actively as the business representative in project meetings including daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and sprint demos, especially within Agile frameworks.
  • Help ensure timely achievement of project deadlines, milestones, and release schedules.
  • Engage in backlog grooming and prioritization sessions to enable approval from business and development groups.
  • Assist in preparing dashboards, reports, presentations, and visuals aimed at informing and influencing merchant and leadership decisions.
  • Create test cases, work alongside QA teams, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing with end-users.
  • Develop end-user documentation and support training and rollout efforts as directed by management or Change Management leads.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Product Design, Retail, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of three years progressive experience in merchandising, product design & development, operations, process optimization, or similar domains within related business units.
  • Proficient with advanced Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint) and Jira.
  • Strong analytical thinking, business process expertise, communication, and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to lead end-user workshops and facilitate effective working sessions.
  • Capable of setting effective goals, prioritizing tasks, and planning to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated project management skills including personal action planning, timeline creation, and timely completion of tasks.
