About The Role

We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver for our Somerfield Rest Home in Christchurch. This casual position requires flexibility to work AM, PM, nights, and weekends as needed. You will be instrumental in ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care with kindness and patience, contributing to a positive and caring atmosphere.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in providing care, preferably within an aged care setting.
  • Possession of at least an NZQA Level 3 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or a comparable New Zealand or international qualification such as a Bachelor or Diploma in Nursing.
  • Specific experience and a qualification in dementia care are essential.
  • A minimum of six months of experience as a Caregiver or in a similar capacity.
  • Proficiency in communication, interpersonal interactions, and problem-solving.
  • A genuine desire to assist others, coupled with excellent customer service skills and a cheerful, positive demeanor.
  • A commitment to ongoing improvement and a solid understanding of health and safety protocols.
