Duty Engineer

Role overview

What you will do

• Carry out installation, upkeep, and preventive servicing for tools, appliances, and equipment.
• Adjust and test controls, gauges, meters, and related systems as needed.
• Find, access, and operate shut-off valves when required.
• Arrange, label, and replenish parts and supplies; keep stock and purchase-order records current.
• Examine tools, equipment, and machines to confirm proper condition and performance.
• Use computers to enter and retrieve work-related information.
• Operate a power lift and respond to guest maintenance requests.
• Complete life-safety checks, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
• Help shape disaster response procedures.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, and coaching of employees.
• Follow company safety, security, and quality standards and report hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential information.
• Provide courteous guest service, including assistance to guests with disabilities.
• Work cooperatively with teammates, communicate clearly, and help improve efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost control.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• Technical, trade, or vocational school qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• No license or certification is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and move through stairs or service ramps for extended periods.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Comfort with handling objects of different sizes and weights.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and guest-service mindset.
