About the Role

Join Jefferies as an Equity Research Associate specializing in Financial Institutions Group (FIG) based in Mumbai. This role involves continuously tracking sector trends and market shifts to identify significant occurrences impacting stocks under coverage. You will conduct comprehensive company financial analyses employing valuation techniques like DCF, comparative valuation, and examining precedent transactions. Additionally, you'll create and update financial models to project earnings and corporate performance accurately.

Working closely with the Lead Analyst, you will contribute to formulating robust investment theses and deliver detailed, clear equity research reports. Engagements include participating in discussions with company leadership and industry professionals to deepen sector insights. Moreover, you will assist the team in addressing client inquiries about market updates and research outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

• 2 to 3 years of experience specifically in equity research, with no restrictions on sector or geography.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Strong analytical abilities complemented by excellent written and oral communication skills to craft concise research documents.
• Familiarity with financial databases and tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, FactSet, and IQVIA is significantly advantageous.
• Educational credentials include an MBA from a reputable institution or a Chartered Accountant qualification with commendable academic performance.
