Role overview
The Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team operates in a fast-moving, collaborative, and performance-driven environment where delivering excellent customer outcomes is the primary focus. Amazon is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the AWS Services Finance team in Bengaluru.
What you will do
In this role, you will support the financial close process, including reporting and accrual activities. You will also contribute to monthly P&L analysis, financial reporting, forecasting, and headcount planning. The position requires working with large data sets using financial systems and advanced Excel functions. You will help track weekly KPI discussions for new and existing initiatives, monitor business performance, and support the measurement and reporting of progress against key goals.
You will additionally carry out ad-hoc business analysis and financial modeling, prepare inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews, and support those reviews with data-backed insights. A key part of the job is improving finance processes by identifying ways to resolve issues, automate steps, standardize work, and simplify workflows. You will also investigate incomplete or inaccurate data, identify root causes, correct data where possible, and coordinate with others to fix issues when needed.
Required qualifications
- Ability to use data to shape and influence business decisions.
- CA fresher or at least 1 year of experience in FP&A, book closure, reporting, and analytics.
Preferred qualifications
- Comfortable managing, reviewing, and interpreting data quickly to produce useful business reports.
- Strong financial understanding with sound problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal ability.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience in the retail industry.
- Exposure to VBA, COGNOS, and SQL is an advantage.
