Fire Executive

Role summary

This position is responsible for managing a fire station and carrying out day-to-day fire response activities. The role also involves ensuring that emergency vehicles and firefighting assets remain available and operational so that fire-related incidents can be controlled and reduced in line with the company’s fire safety policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the defined fire safety policies, procedures, and operating standards, while supporting integrity-related practices that help assure service quality.
• Stay updated on current best practices and new developments in fire safety to contribute ideas for improving systems and processes.
• Apply incident command and control methods during emergencies, and take part in firefighting and rescue activities when required.
• Assist with incident investigations, identify the root cause of fire events, and help implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Carry out routine inspection, testing, and maintenance of firefighting equipment and systems, and report any faults or deviations from expected condition.
• Monitor the readiness and reliability of firefighting equipment, vehicles, and communication tools across fire stations so they remain ready for immediate use.
• Respond to emergency calls and participate in daily fire drills to ensure quick and effective action during fire situations.
• Support compliance with fire safety standards, procedures, and checklists, and help implement measures that reduce non-compliance.
• Maintain logbooks, occurrence records, and other shift-related documents to ensure proper fire safety recordkeeping and compliance.

Education and certification

A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required, with a science background preferred. A Fireman certification is also necessary.

Experience

0 to 3 years of relevant experience is required.

Desired capabilities

The role calls for strong fire safety management knowledge, practical firefighting ability, experience in heavy vehicle driving, familiarity with firefighting systems and equipment, the ability to operate fire vehicle pumps, good communication, quick reflexes, and a fast response mindset.
