Role overview

This leadership position is focused on shaping and growing a Data and AI advisory practice in Doha. The role blends strategy, consulting, business development, client leadership, delivery governance, and people management, with an emphasis on enterprise and government transformation work.

Core expertise

  • Deep understanding of Data & AI strategy, including governance, advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise data platforms, cloud environments, and AI ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Strong ability to engage senior executives and board-level stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
  • Capability to create, package, and commercialize Data & AI services, frameworks, and go-to-market propositions.

Experience profile

  • At least 15 years of overall professional experience, or a minimum of 8 years in directly relevant Data & AI advisory / consulting roles within technology consulting, digital transformation, or Data & AI consulting.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership position managing a Data / AI practice or a similar technology function.
  • Prior exposure to the GCC / Qatar market, including established client relationships and awareness of local market needs and dynamics.
  • Hands-on experience delivering large-scale programs in Data Strategy, enterprise data platforms, AI transformation, or generative AI for tier-1 organizations.
  • Proven ability to grow a practice or business unit and expand market presence.

Strategic responsibilities

  • Build a strong pipeline and convert it into sustainable revenue growth.
  • Lead senior client discussions from problem discovery through solution design and value realization.
  • Continuously enhance advisory offerings so they remain aligned to market demand and technology trends.
  • Coach and develop consulting teams while deepening strategic client relationships and account expansion.
  • Set and execute the long-term direction for the Data & AI Advisory practice in line with organizational goals.
  • Position the firm as a trusted advisor for Data & AI transformation across government and enterprise clients.
  • Track emerging developments in AI, generative AI, data governance, and analytics and turn them into scalable consulting solutions.
  • Lead major transformation programs and advise C-level stakeholders on strategy and execution.
  • Build partnerships with technology vendors and ecosystem players to widen market reach and strengthen capabilities.
  • Drive strategic account growth through multi-year plans and structured client roadmaps.
  • Develop value propositions, go-to-market plans, and industry-specific advisory offerings.
  • Own practice-level KPIs including revenue, profitability, and market positioning.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, executive briefings, industry events, and client workshops.

Operational responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of advisory engagements with high quality, on-time execution, and strong client satisfaction.
  • Hold full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin improvement.
  • Lead commercial execution by supporting proposal development, RFP responses, and negotiations.
  • Convert advisory concepts into repeatable delivery frameworks, methods, and reusable assets.
  • Oversee resource planning and utilization to match skills with demand and maintain delivery capacity.
  • Recruit, retain, and grow high-performing Data & AI consulting talent.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to strengthen team capability and leadership depth.
  • Work closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure integrated solution execution.
  • Implement strong governance, risk management, and compliance controls across advisory work.
  • Maintain knowledge management practices, including reuse of intellectual property, assets, and best practices.
  • Track and report key performance indicators against financial, operational, and strategic targets.

People leadership

  • Ensure the practice culture aligns with the wider culture and working style of malomatia.
  • Monitor team development and support growth in knowledge and skill levels.
  • Give clear feedback, coaching, and counseling to direct reports to improve performance.
  • Contribute input on appraisals, promotions, and incentive decisions for project team members.
  • Support resource planning and take part in hiring and retention efforts.
  • Help build leadership and functional capability through structured training initiatives.
  • Support succession planning for key roles within the practice.
  • Lead in a way that motivates employees and promotes delivery excellence.
  • Strengthen employee engagement and retention across the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • A master’s degree such as an MBA or MSc from a recognized institution is strongly preferred.
  • Professional certifications related to management consulting, Data & AI, or digital transformation are considered an advantage.

Language requirements

  • Arabic is preferred.
  • English is mandatory.
