Role overview

BCIC Swiss GmbH is hiring an experienced IT Support Specialist for an onsite backfill assignment in Grenzach-Wyhlen, Germany. The role focuses on keeping end-user systems running smoothly, handling technical issues quickly, and supporting reliable day-to-day IT operations with a strong customer-service approach.

The work location is Emil-Barell-Strasse 1, 79639 Grenzach-Wyhlen, Germany. This is a full-time position with an onsite work model. Compensation is stated as negotiable.

Key responsibilities

You will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to employees on site, manage end-user devices, and resolve a wide range of desktop and workplace technology issues.

Technical support duties

  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Carry out hardware checks, perform break-fix support, and coordinate replacement of faulty devices or components.
  • Handle Active Directory tasks such as user account administration, password resets, and permission changes.
  • Support Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues across LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN environments.
  • Prepare, image, deploy, and swap end-user devices when needed.
  • Support meeting-room AV setups and video-conferencing systems.

Service management and project support

  • Record incidents and service requests in the ticketing system and work in line with SLA expectations.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with IT rollouts, migrations, and other project-based tasks.

Requirements

  • Must currently live in Germany and hold a valid work permit.
  • Fluent English and German are both mandatory.
  • Prior experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, or Service Desk environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory and ITSM or ticketing platforms.
  • Good troubleshooting ability and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite setting.
  • Strong customer focus and a practical problem-solving mindset.
