Role Overview
The Managing Partner for Family Office & Asset Management will provide senior leadership for a portfolio of assets, build trusted relationships with high-net-worth families, and guide end-to-end wealth management strategies. The position calls for strong financial judgment, deep knowledge of family governance, and a steadfast sense of fiduciary responsibility to create lasting trust and long-term value.
The role also involves working across functions to deliver excellent service, introducing forward-looking investment approaches, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and promoting an entrepreneurial, high-performance culture within the family office setting.
Responsibilities
- Set and steer the family office’s strategic direction so it stays aligned with the family’s priorities, values, and investment outlook.
- Monitor and manage the family investment portfolio through regular reviews of performance and risk exposure.
- Create tailored investment plans that connect each client’s financial goals with comprehensive wealth management solutions.
- Serve as the main relationship lead for clients, maintaining consistent communication and building long-term trust.
- Work with tax, legal, and other specialist advisors to shape and implement tax and estate planning strategies.
- Guide, coach, and develop a capable team of financial professionals while encouraging ongoing learning and growth.
- Put in place strong compliance and risk controls to protect client assets and meet regulatory obligations.
- Drive initiatives that broaden service lines, encourage innovation, and uncover new revenue opportunities.
- Track market movements, economic shifts, and regulatory updates, then adjust strategy as needed.
- Lead discussions on multi-generational wealth and support governance structures that help family members participate in decision-making.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in asset management, wealth management, or family office leadership, including a successful record in senior positions.
- Strong background in portfolio management and the ability to assess and improve performance across different asset classes.
- Solid expertise in estate planning, tax planning, risk control, and philanthropic strategy.
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor talent, and build high-performing financial services groups.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with comfort making data-backed decisions in complex financial situations.
- Experience creating and executing strategic plans that support client objectives and long-term value growth.
- Good understanding of financial regulation, compliance standards, and ethical practices in asset management.
- A strong professional network within the investment ecosystem and relevant associations.
- Advanced degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; CFA, CFP, or CAIA credentials are preferred.
