Position Overview
ConsultANZ is seeking a New Business Engineer to join the Precontracts team at a leading civil construction contractor based in Wellington, New Zealand. This role offers a chance to contribute to major infrastructure projects and support securing future contracts nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Precontracts team in preparing bids and tender documentation.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical details.
- Contribute to project planning, methodologies, and construction approaches.
- Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and clients during tender phases.
- Evaluate project risks and opportunities, providing technical insights.
- Support the creation of competitive and innovative civil infrastructure proposals.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least four years of experience in heavy civil construction projects.
- Strong technical and problem-solving engineering capabilities.
- Experience in precontracts, project engineering or tendering is advantageous.
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an office-based team.
