About the role
EY is hiring an Operations Support Specialist to help strengthen operational delivery within the Clients & Industries (C&I) organization in Bengaluru. The position contributes to smoother execution, better coordination, and stronger process discipline across multiple domains and functions, supporting the broader goal of building a better working world.
The role sits in the Business Enablement – Business Management Office and supports the C&I organization through three areas: Strategic Operations, Core Services, and Performance & Data Insights. Strategic Operations works through pods connected to each of the six C&I domains: Insights, Industry, Demand Generation, Client Excellence, Sales & Commercial Excellence, and Enablement & Technology.
Success in this environment requires agility, quick learning, and the ability to adjust when priorities shift. The main stakeholder is the Domain Strategy Execution Leader, while the role also works closely with the wider domain team and the Operations Senior Specialist or Operations Specialist.
Strategic operations
- Coordinate and deliver domain initiatives and projects by partnering with senior stakeholders and applying structured project management practices.
- Keep project plans, schedules, documentation, and next steps current, accurate, and well organized.
- Run project meetings, align contributors, move actions forward, and monitor progress against milestones.
- Prepare leadership-ready presentations, trackers, and updates that meet internal quality standards and are ready for distribution.
- Spot risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve working methods, and escalate concerns when needed.
- Serve as a central coordination point with relevant C&I domains and CBS functions such as BMC, Finance, Technology, and AWS to support delivery outcomes.
Operational excellence
- Help ensure reliable execution of operational processes through strong documentation, governance materials, and reporting.
- Look for opportunities to simplify workflows, raise efficiency, and improve how the domain operates.
- Maintain knowledge repositories, databases, SharePoint sites, and content libraries, including routine checks and validation of materials.
- Distribute knowledge, insights, and updates to stakeholders through the agreed communication channels.
- Support the creation of status reports and dashboards, working with Performance & Data Insights when required.
- Assist in triaging requests for ad hoc analysis, reporting, and information while encouraging self-service and new ways of working.
Stakeholder engagement
- Build effective relationships across domains, functions, and pods while anticipating needs and supporting team goals.
- Manage communications with stakeholders by providing timely and clear updates on progress, risks, and next steps.
- Act as a dependable delivery partner for leadership by ensuring follow-through and strong execution.
- Take part in regular updates and forums, sharing ideas and supporting colleagues where needed.
- Help coordinate work across distributed global teams so that delivery stays aligned and efficient.
Skills and attributes for success
