Physics PhD Expert - Statistical Mechanics, Condensed Matter & AMO Physics

About the Role

This opportunity is for experienced physics researchers who can contribute expert knowledge to AI model training and data improvement efforts. The work is fully remote and contract-based, with a focus on advanced problems in statistical mechanics, condensed matter physics, and atomic, molecular, and optical physics.

What You Will Do

• Assess sophisticated physics questions and use your judgment to support AI model training and innovation.
• Create difficult, high-quality problem sets in statistical mechanics, condensed matter physics, and/or atomic, molecular, and optical physics.
• Partner with AI researchers to improve model responses and strengthen dataset quality.
• Handle work independently and on an asynchronous schedule while meeting weekly targets with accuracy and care.
• Contribute specialized physics expertise to help advance AI-related research and product development.

Requirements

• Doctoral-level qualification in Physics with specialization in statistical mechanics, condensed matter physics, or atomic, molecular, and optical physics.
• Postgraduate degree earned from the US, UK, Canada, or Western Europe.
• Strong focus on detail and precision.
• Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
• Very good English fluency.

Additional Information

Compensation: The pay range is $70 to $90 per hour.

Work Arrangement: Remote.

Type: Contract.

Start Date: February, with applications evaluated on a rolling basis.
