Position Overview

Our client is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to oversee a pivotal food manufacturing facility undergoing major transformation and investment. This leadership role encompasses managing all facets of plant operations, championing operational excellence, boosting manufacturing efficiency, cultivating high-performing teams, and executing strategic long-term growth plans. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and warehousing functions.
  • Drive improvements in safety standards, product quality, productivity, and profitability.
  • Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) within the facility.
  • Direct continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Develop and implement production planning and scheduling processes.
  • Optimize inventory management and operational planning.
  • Manage capital improvement projects and oversee equipment investments.
  • Foster an engaged and accountable manufacturing culture.
  • Mentor and develop supervisors and plant leadership teams.
  • Ensure strict compliance with FDA, HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic manufacturing initiatives.
  • Improve plant utilization and prepare the facility for future expansion.

Qualifications

  • More than 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Prior experience as a Plant Manager or General Manager is essential.
  • Background in food manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading large-scale manufacturing operations.
  • Proven expertise in managing capital projects.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management capabilities.
  • Excellent financial and operational understanding.
