About the Company

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute procurement tasks across Germany and Europe, including acquisition of services like transportation, warehousing, staffing, consulting, as well as materials, equipment, and warehouse-related sourcing assignments.
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of procurement processes, templates, policies, and governance mechanisms supporting the European division.
  • Identify, assess, and nurture relationships with local European suppliers and service providers.
  • Manage supplier sourcing activities, execute requests-for-quotations (RFQs), conduct price evaluations, perform tender processes, handle purchase orders, and monitor delivery statuses.
  • Oversee contract management, purchase order issuance, invoice reconciliation, and payment procedures in strict accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Assist the formulation of localized tender strategies, annual framework agreements, and broader procurement initiatives.
  • Address procurement-related challenges such as delivery setbacks, supplier performance issues, and product quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with European colleagues and headquarters teams to maintain smooth communication and data consistency.
  • Regularly report on project developments, risk factors, and critical milestones to procurement leadership.
  • Support cross-functional projects and promote continuous enhancement of procurement operations.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or operational functions is preferred though motivated recent graduates are invited to apply.
  • Understanding of European business protocols, supplier management techniques, and foundational contract law principles.
  • Exemplary organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and a practical, hands-on approach to work.
  • Ability to juggle several priorities in a dynamic and rapidly growing corporate setting.
  • Basic proficiency in Chinese is highly valued to facilitate communication with the company’s headquarters (for tasks like reading emails and engaging in simple workplace interaction).
  • Required language competencies include German and English, with additional European languages seen as a plus.
  • Willingness to undertake short-term travel within Europe as needed.

What the Company Offers

  • The chance to build and influence the development of the European procurement division of an international logistics company.
  • An international workplace culture promoting cooperation between European and Asian teams.
  • Opportunities for professional growth through both expert and leadership career pathways.
  • Involvement in significant procurement projects granting substantial responsibility and strategic exposure.
  • A vibrant, entrepreneurial work atmosphere with promising growth prospects.
  • A competitive remuneration package coupled with attractive employee benefits.
