About the Company
J&T Express is an expanding international logistics firm specializing in e-commerce and last-mile delivery solutions. Originating in Asia and rapidly broadening its footprint across Europe, the company is currently establishing its procurement operations in Germany and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute procurement tasks across Germany and Europe, including acquisition of services like transportation, warehousing, staffing, consulting, as well as materials, equipment, and warehouse-related sourcing assignments.
- Contribute to the design and rollout of procurement processes, templates, policies, and governance mechanisms supporting the European division.
- Identify, assess, and nurture relationships with local European suppliers and service providers.
- Manage supplier sourcing activities, execute requests-for-quotations (RFQs), conduct price evaluations, perform tender processes, handle purchase orders, and monitor delivery statuses.
- Oversee contract management, purchase order issuance, invoice reconciliation, and payment procedures in strict accordance with internal guidelines.
- Assist the formulation of localized tender strategies, annual framework agreements, and broader procurement initiatives.
- Address procurement-related challenges such as delivery setbacks, supplier performance issues, and product quality concerns.
- Collaborate with European colleagues and headquarters teams to maintain smooth communication and data consistency.
- Regularly report on project developments, risk factors, and critical milestones to procurement leadership.
- Support cross-functional projects and promote continuous enhancement of procurement operations.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or operational functions is preferred though motivated recent graduates are invited to apply.
- Understanding of European business protocols, supplier management techniques, and foundational contract law principles.
- Exemplary organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and a practical, hands-on approach to work.
- Ability to juggle several priorities in a dynamic and rapidly growing corporate setting.
- Basic proficiency in Chinese is highly valued to facilitate communication with the company’s headquarters (for tasks like reading emails and engaging in simple workplace interaction).
- Required language competencies include German and English, with additional European languages seen as a plus.
- Willingness to undertake short-term travel within Europe as needed.
