About the Company

Sify Infinit Spaces Limited is the dedicated arm that manages the company’s investments in the data center business, with a focus on colocation services. The organization operates 12 data center sites across India and currently supplies about 200 MW of IT power to the market, with two additional facilities expected to come online by the end of the year. Its newer data centers are built to be AI-ready and liquid-cooled certified for GPX-ready workloads. The company has also delivered data centers for several state governments to support their digital initiatives.

The role is based in Noida (Sector 132).

Role Overview

The Project Manager - Civil will take end-to-end ownership of civil and structural execution for large data center construction projects. This includes planning, design coordination, site execution, quality assurance, budget control, and final handover. The position requires close collaboration with MEP, design, procurement, safety, and client teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Project Planning and Execution

• Take charge of the civil and structural workstream for data center projects from project start through handover.
• Develop project schedules, track milestones, and plan resources effectively.
• Work with design consultants, architects, and structural engineers to secure design approvals and detailed construction drawings.

Site and Construction Management

• Manage excavation, foundations, superstructure, finishing, and external civil works for data centers.
• Ensure all execution follows approved drawings, specifications, and data center construction standards.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain quality and safety expectations.
• Review progress regularly, address site issues, and escalate major risks or blockers when needed.

Quality, Compliance, and Approvals

• Apply quality control checks and carry out inspections for civil works.
• Maintain compliance with statutory requirements, building regulations, environmental norms, and safety standards.
• Support statutory approvals and coordinate with local or government authorities whenever necessary.

Cost and Contract Control

• Track project budgets and variations to keep delivery cost-effective.
• Review contractor bills, claims, and supporting project records.
• Assist procurement teams in finalizing vendors and negotiating civil work packages.

Cross-functional Coordination

• Coordinate with MEP, operations, and IT teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Support the commissioning and final handover of completed facilities to operations teams.
• Interface with client representatives and consultants for reporting, reviews, and approvals.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong capability in project leadership and civil project management.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale industrial or commercial construction, preferably data centers, IT parks, or hyperscale facilities.
• Knowledge of structural systems, finishing standards, waterproofing, fire-rated civil works, and fit-outs.
• Ability to work across MEP interfaces and understand project sequencing in data center environments.
• Good communication, stakeholder handling, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Project or Primavera and AutoCAD.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in construction project management.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in data center, industrial, or hyperscale projects.
• A proven history of delivering work within schedule and budget is expected.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification will be considered an advantage.
