About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Banking professional to join a leading international financial institution's newly formed Corporate & Commercial Banking division in Dublin on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a crucial opportunity to significantly influence business growth, client acquisition, and strategic development within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate new business across the Corporate & Commercial Banking portfolio.
- Build and maintain relationships with SMEs, corporates, multinational clients, and key intermediaries.
- Prepare detailed credit proposals and present them effectively to Credit Committees.
- Structure lending packages while analyzing and mitigating credit risks.
- Create term sheets and manage deal execution through to closing.
- Conduct sector and market research to identify growth opportunities and present insights to senior management.
- Track portfolio performance, pipeline activity, profitability, and key metrics.
- Ensure exceptional client management, maintain credit quality, and uphold operational risk standards.
- Assist in improving business processes, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business, risk, and support teams on strategic projects.
Candidate Profile
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in Corporate, Commercial, or Business Banking.
- Proficient in corporate lending, credit analysis, and financial structuring.
- Skilled in preparing and delivering complex credit applications to Credit Committees.
- Familiarity with bilateral, club, and syndicated loan transactions.
- Established network among corporate clients, professional introducers, and intermediaries.
- Outstanding relationship management, business development, and negotiation capabilities.
- Strong commercial acumen with in-depth risk management understanding.
- Confidence in influencing senior stakeholders and articulating clearly at all organizational levels.
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification and/or professional certification in financial services.
