Zaxbys is looking to add a Restaurant Utility Worker to the team in Thomson, Georgia. This role focuses on keeping the restaurant clean, safe, and in good working order through routine upkeep, equipment care, and basic maintenance. The position supports the overall guest experience by helping maintain a pleasant and well-run restaurant environment.

Job duties
- Complete all required training assigned by Zax LLC
- Help maintain a safe, tidy, and well-maintained restaurant environment
- Handle scheduled and unscheduled cleaning tasks, along with basic restaurant maintenance
- Carry out routine cleaning and preventative maintenance for restaurant equipment
- Inspect, operate, and test equipment to identify problems
- Address minor lighting issues and oversee related repairs
- Perform deep-cleaning work, including pressure washing inside and outside the location
- Read and apply equipment manuals and work orders
- Regularly check grounds, plumbing, electrical fixtures, outlets, kitchen equipment, and the building for preventative maintenance needs
- Complete basic repairs when needed
- Understand and follow safety procedures, operating instructions, and related manuals or laws
- Keep maintenance records accurate, neat, and up to date
- Follow operational standards and comply with Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC policies and procedures
- Work safely and follow all required safety practices
- Show flexibility and be willing to take on tasks beyond the core job description when needed
- Report HR and risk-related concerns immediately to the General Manager and District Manager
- Escalate additional issues to a supervisor when appropriate
- Perform other duties needed to keep restaurant operations running smoothly
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable transportation is required
- For full-time availability, the schedule must support 32 to 40 hours per week
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Should demonstrate leadership potential, organization, and the ability to work well with others

- Part-time availability is listed as 9 to 28 hours per week
Physical and working conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- May need to stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including using ladders
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting
- Continuous use of hands and wrists for gripping and detailed work
- Requires clear speaking, reading, and writing skills
- Needs strong visual and audio awareness to notice and respond to surroundings
- Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to hot and cold temperatures as well as food and outdoor allergens
