Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Purview Specialist to manage and implement data governance, compliance, risk, and information protection solutions using Microsoft Purview. The role involves designing data classification, protection strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance across enterprise data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Microsoft Purview solutions including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection (Sensitivity Labels), Data Lifecycle Management (Retention Policies), Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery (Standard & Premium), and Communication Compliance.
• Design and enforce data governance frameworks across M365, Azure, and on-prem systems.
• Configure and maintain sensitivity labels and auto-labeling policies, DLP policies for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, and retention and deletion policies.
• Monitor and respond to compliance alerts and incidents.
• Conduct data discovery, classification, and cataloging using Microsoft Purview Data Map.
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate Microsoft Defender, Azure Information Protection (AIP), and Compliance Manager.
• Provide reports and dashboards for compliance posture, data risks, and incidents.
• Support audits and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Collaborate with stakeholders for policy design and data governance workshops.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Purview / Compliance Portal.
• Hands-on experience with DLP Policies, Sensitivity Labels & Encryption, Retention Policies, and eDiscovery & Audit logs.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 security & compliance ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
• Understanding of data protection and governance principles.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience in Microsoft Purview Data Map / Data Catalog.
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell for automation).
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Sentinel).
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft SC-400 (Information Protection Admin), Microsoft SC-900, or MS-500.
