About the Role

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking individuals with a background in cybersecurity and technology to transition into a Special Agent role. This position is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. Your existing skills in cybersecurity and technology provide a strong foundation for a Special Agent career. Experience with languages like SQL, Python, and JavaScript, as well as concepts such as machine learning and deep learning, are highly valued. Major Duties

• Conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity threats, and public safety issues.
• Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands effectively.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with various law enforcement agencies at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
• Maintain a high level of physical fitness to be prepared for law enforcement duties.

Key Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Must be willing to travel as needed.
• Must meet all FBI Employment Eligibility requirements.

Education

A bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university is required. A degree in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a closely related field is preferred. All degrees must be verified by submitting official college transcripts.
