Job Overview

This role offers STEM professionals, particularly those with engineering expertise, a unique pathway to transition into a Special Agent position with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). This opportunity involves utilizing your engineering and software development skills to support investigations linked to national security, cyber threats, and law enforcement efforts.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute investigations concerning potential breaches of federal laws, cybersecurity incidents, and threats to public safety.
  • Apply judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness to meet the challenges of multi-faceted investigations.
  • Establish and nurture cooperative relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement bodies.
  • Maintain physical fitness levels necessary to fulfill law enforcement requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel as job demands require.
  • Fulfillment of FBI employment eligibility criteria.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in engineering or a related discipline, from an accredited U.S. institution; official transcripts must be submitted for verification.

The salary range for this position is between $93,749 and $133,200 annually, depending on base pay, locality adjustments, and availability pay.
