Store Operations
The role calls for ensuring the store is operated as per SOPs and that its appearance, layout, and overall presentation meet defined standards. It also involves stock control, coordination with supply chain teams, merchandising oversight, transaction tracking, budget management, and protection of inventory and assets through effective security and loss-prevention measures.
Customer Experience
The store manager is expected to strengthen customer satisfaction by improving issue resolution, supporting customers with product information, and creating a high-quality in-store experience that encourages loyalty. The role also requires monitoring key performance indicators and sharing updates with senior leadership.
People Management
This role includes leading retail staff through coaching, feedback, and guidance so that service quality and sales performance remain strong. It also involves conducting training sessions on product knowledge, sales methods, and best practices, while working closely with central teams such as marketing, finance, and HR to stay aligned with company policies and connect in-store and online operations.
Education and Experience
A full-time graduate degree is required. An MBA or PGDM is optional. The role requires at least 4 years of experience in retail business operations.
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate should have strong retail operations knowledge, sales and marketing techniques, basic MS Office skills, and the behavioral strengths needed to lead teams, communicate clearly, influence stakeholders, stay process-driven, and remain focused on customer outcomes and results.
