Role Overview

The Store Manager is responsible for running the Airtel store smoothly, keeping day-to-day operations aligned with agreed standards and guidelines, and delivering a strong customer experience. The role also involves meeting revenue and cost objectives while ensuring compliance and operational discipline.

Team Size: 7 to 9 direct reports

Store Operations

  • Ensure store processes follow the prescribed SOPs and that the store appearance matches the required standards.
  • Monitor stock levels, perform regular inventory checks, and work with the supply chain team to keep products available.
  • Handle visual merchandising so that product presentation and store layout remain attractive and brand-aligned.
  • Track store transactions and operational budgets carefully to maintain cost efficiency and financial performance.
  • Apply security controls and loss-prevention measures to protect stock and other assets.
  • Take ownership of clearing the store for formal launches as well as during refit and conversion activities.

Customer Experience

  • Put processes in place to improve customer satisfaction and speed up issue resolution.
  • Deliver a high-quality in-store experience through product guidance, customer support, and effective problem solving.
  • Use KPIs to measure store performance and share regular updates with senior leadership.

People Management

  • Lead retail staff with coaching, direction, and performance feedback to strengthen service quality and sales results.
  • Conduct or coordinate team training on product knowledge, selling skills, and operational best practices.
  • Work with central teams such as marketing, finance, and HR to stay aligned with company policies and support smooth integration between store and online operations.

Qualifications and Experience

A full-time graduate degree is required. An MBA or PGDM is optional. The role calls for 4 or more years of experience in retail business operations.
