This opportunity is on behalf of a partner organization, which will handle applications and the rest of the hiring process. The hiring company is seeking a Telehealth Practice Manager in the United States.
In this leadership position, you will own the operational direction and daily management of a fast-scaling virtual care business. The role blends process design, business expansion, technology improvement, and financial stewardship to help the organization grow efficiently and sustainably. You will collaborate with executive and clinical stakeholders to create the systems, teams, and workflows needed to deliver strong patient and provider experiences at scale. This is a chance to build operational foundations from the beginning, lead strategic initiatives, and directly support revenue and profitability growth. Core accountabilities
- Oversee and improve all operational areas of the telehealth business so workflows remain efficient, scalable, and service quality stays high.
- Build operational structures, policies, procedures, and best practices that can support sustained growth and stronger organizational performance.
- Create, track, and continuously improve KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems that enable data-backed decisions.
- Spot process breakdowns and introduce improvements that raise efficiency, improve margins, and strengthen patient satisfaction.
- Work with executive leaders to execute growth plans, support expansion into new markets, and launch new offerings.
- Develop operational models that can handle growing patient volume, provider capacity, and overall business complexity.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the telehealth practice to ensure smooth care delivery and strong provider performance.
- Handle provider onboarding, credentialing, scheduling, workforce planning, and performance oversight.
- Review, choose, and optimize telehealth tools, EHR platforms, CRM systems, and other operational technologies.
- Drive technology integration efforts and coordinate with internal and external partners to improve efficiency and patient engagement.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasting activities, and resource allocation plans.
- Assess financial and operational results to find opportunities for higher revenue, lower costs, and better margins.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare laws, telehealth rules, HIPAA requirements, payer policies, and quality assurance standards.
- Set up risk management, audit, and compliance tracking processes to support operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
Required background
- A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations with increasing responsibility over time.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in telehealth, virtual care, or digital health settings.
- Proven ability to build, scale, and improve telehealth operations during rapid growth phases.
- Experience creating operational infrastructure, workflows, standard operating procedures, and scalable processes from scratch.
- Strong understanding of telehealth regulations, healthcare compliance, credentialing, payer models, and provider operations.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and executing initiatives in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical, operational, and financial management skills, including budget ownership and KPI tracking.
- Solid knowledge of healthcare technology ecosystems, including telehealth platforms, EHRs, CRM tools, and workflow automation.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, organization, and change management skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Hands-on experience supporting large-scale growth, operational expansion, and profitability improvement is highly valued.
- A master’s degree such as an MBA, MHA, or MPH, or a closely related qualification, is preferred.
- Exposure to multi-state telehealth operations, venture-backed healthcare companies, or high-growth startups is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with value-based care, digital health innovation, and virtual care delivery is preferred.
