Role overview
As a Customer Service Agent based at the airport, you will help create a smooth, safe, and positive journey for passengers. The position centers on frontline airport service work, with responsibilities spanning check-in, gate handling, ticketing, baggage support, rerouting and connection assistance, and coordination of flight departures.
What you will do
- Provide high-quality passenger service while representing the airline in a professional manner.
- Handle check-in, boarding, and gate activities, including ticketing and reservation support.
- Work with internal and external partners to support fast aircraft turnaround and timely departures.
- Assist travelers with rebooking, missed connections, lost-and-found issues, baggage queries, and general assistance.
- Keep airport operations aligned with safety, security, and service expectations.
- Carry out administrative work such as reports, audits, cost-control tasks, and documentation.
- Communicate regularly with leadership and cross-functional teams to keep operations running smoothly.
- Help passengers use and understand airport technology and digital service tools.
- Occasionally lift baggage or other items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
- Take on other duties as needed depending on business and operational requirements.
Minimum qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in airport customer service, airline operations, or a ground-handling environment.
- Permanent, valid authorization to live and work in the EU, including Ireland, at the time of applying; visa sponsorship is not provided.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Eligibility to live and work in Ireland.
- Proven ability to work in operations with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.
- Comfort working with diverse people, perspectives, and working styles.
- Consistent focus on safety and security for self, others, and personal data.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, longer hours, and on-call schedules.
- Valid Ireland driver’s licence.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- A friendly, approachable manner that builds trust and respect.
- Ability to handle conflict and solve problems effectively.
- Good standing and satisfactory performance in the current role.
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
Preferred background
- Prior experience with check-in, gate operations, and broader airport functions.
- Familiarity with airport technology and related systems.
