Jump Crypto is focused on developing the core infrastructure that supports the expansion of the crypto ecosystem. The team works as builders, collaborators, and traders with a long-term perspective on the future of crypto and open, community-led networks. What started as a small internal project in late 2015 has grown into a strong, experienced group contributing to several of the largest and most forward-looking crypto communities.

Jump Crypto operates as the crypto arm of Jump Trading Group, a research-led quantitative trading firm recognized as one of the highest-volume traders across traditional asset classes.

Role Overview

As a Trader, you will join a fast-moving team that researches market opportunities, interprets trading signals, and acts on them across global markets. This role is suited to someone eager to learn how their skills can be applied in a quantitative trading setup. You should bring a proactive mindset, be ready to support the team in different ways, and be motivated to learn from experienced traders and technologists.

This position follows a four-day workweek, with work scheduled either from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday, supporting trading activity in a market that runs around the clock.

What You'll Do

• Stay engaged with the broader business beyond trading, understand priorities, and adapt as needs evolve.
• Carry out trading strategies as part of the desk’s daily execution.
• Track positions during the shift and coordinate with clearing and operations teams to resolve trade and position mismatches.
• Develop and maintain tooling for the live trading environment, including configuration, process control, deployments, monitoring, data capture, and analysis.
• Investigate issues in production trading systems and contribute to improvements in desk workflows.
• Develop working knowledge of quantitative trading initiatives, exchange setup, and related trading functions.
• Take ownership of team-level projects that extend beyond routine trading coverage.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Experience Needed

• Interest in cryptocurrency markets and a working understanding of coins, exchanges, and related market structure is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Python, with the ability to read and write simple to moderately complex scripts.
• Comfort operating in a Linux-based environment.
• Ability to balance and prioritize several tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions with discretion.
• Comfort working in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of trading experience.
• Dependable attendance and consistent availability.

Additional Information

The role is based in Singapore, Singapore. The position is full-time and onsite.
